Baba Bruja are lutruwita/Tasmania’s only all-original Afrobeat collective. Led by non-binary composer and trombonist Stevie McEntee and featuring some of nipaluna/Hobart’s best loved musicians, their six horns and scorching hot rhythm section are raucous, colourful and groovy as all get-out. They have played at some of lutruwita/Tasmania’s premier festivals including A Festival Called Panama, Taste of Tasmania, Falls Festival, the Clarence Jazz Festival, Party in the Paddock, Junction Arts Festival, Faux Mo and Dark Mofo. They have shared the stage with The Bad Dad Orchestra, Boil-up, The 7-Ups and Sex on Toast.
