A multi-disciplinary filmmaker from Launceston, Tasmania, Michael has a passion for character-driven stories and creates both original and commissioned content for the screen.

In 2014 Michael's dramatic short film 'No Good Deed' won the Sony Global Production Awards and was selected to screen at the Sony Photography Awards in London.

In 2019 alongside co-creator, Dylan Hesp, Michael created the documentary 'The Small Town Drifter' for SBS On Demand and the smash hit online comedy success 'Australia’s Best Street Racer', for which he won Best Direction in an Online Comedy by the Australian Directors Guild.

Michael has served as EPK Director on The Gloaming for Stan and Rosehaven seasons 3–5 for the ABC. Most recently Michael undertook a Directors Attachment on season 5 of Rosehaven.
