Tony Newport & Vince Brophy

Tony Newport plays the Autoharp. He is a songwriter and a busker – drawing on his formative years on the West Coast of lutruwita/Tasmania where he grew up and spent time as a miner and union rep. He likes to think that in a small way he represents his working class roots and spiritual home in the same way that Appalachian music has come to represent their part of the world. Tony has performed at The Unconformity, and festivals in Cygnet, Tamar Valley and Rosebery.

Vince Brophy is a leading Irish/Australian singer, songwriter and guitarist. An APRA award winner and a frequent performer around the nation at festival and concert venues including The Unconformity. Vince has resettled in Low Head where he continues to compose, perform and mentor.

The Unconformity acknowledges the palawa people as the original and traditional custodians of lutruwita / Tasmania. We commit to working respectfully to honour their ongoing cultural and spiritual connections to this land.
