Mt Owen Moonscape

The modern story of Queenstown is one of creativity, collegiality and change.

For nearly eight years, Queenstown has been a mining town without a mine. Across this time, a dedicated, passionate and growing arts community has prospected new creative opportunities to spark change in our old mining town.

The diverse range of artists featured in The Unconformity Art Trail are at the cornerstone of this activity. Their work is presented in galleries, studios, shopfronts and houses – demonstrating our talented West Coast artists and showcasing Queenie as an ‘art mining town’.

Pick up a trail guide from the Festival Information Hub for more detailed information on artists, exhibitions and venues for The Unconformity Art Trail.

The Unconformity acknowledges the palawa people as the original and traditional custodians of lutruwita / Tasmania. We commit to working respectfully to honour their ongoing cultural and spiritual connections to this land.
